SOSA’s
Club Tastings will resume in January 2013!
It’s a
New Year, and time for us to get back to our blind tasting evenings. Every
First, and Third Thursday of the month, SOSA members get together for an
evening of discovery through blind tasting our way through a flight of six
wines pus the opportunity to all share a taste of an “expensive” product.
At each meeting there will be a specific
theme, and we will work with a standard tasting grid. Although this is an
opportunity for a social evening of wine tasting, there is the option to work
within a professionally timed tasting framework. These evening get-togethers are meant to
accommodate those of us who are generally not available during the day for
tastings, yet wish to gather with fellow sommelier, and sommelier students to
explore and expand our own wine tasting abilities.
$30
dollars gets you a seat at the table and (6 plus 1 wines to sample), and the
chance to challenge yourself within a group of like minded individuals. There
is always an assortment of cheeses and
breads to accompany the evening.
